SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Fluorescence PCR Kit


This test kit applies multiplex fluorescence PCR technology. Specific primers and probes are designed targeting the conserved regions of ORF1ab and N genes in SARS-CoV-2. The 3′ end of each probe is labeled with quenching group, while the 5′ end is labeled with different reporting group. In the amplification process, when the probe is intact, since the quenching group is close to the reporting group, the fluorescence emitted by the reporting group is absorbed by the quenching group, and no fluorescent signal is emitted.When the primer is extended, the fluorescent probe combined with the template is cleaved by Taq enzyme (5’→ 3′ exonuclease activity), and the reporting group is separated from the quenching group to produce a fluorescent signal. The fluorescence quantitative PCR instrument can automatically draw the real-time amplification curve according to the detected fluorescent signals, so as to realize the qualitative detection of the SARS-CoV-2 at the nucleic acid level.


【Intended use】

This test kit is used for in vitro qualitative detection of suspected SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia cases, suspected clusters of SARS-CoV-2 cases, and SARS-CoV-2 ORF1ab and N genes in other pharyngeal swabs and sputum that require SARS-CoV-2 infection diagnosis or differential diagnosis.

The test results of this kit are only for clinical reference and should not be used as the only standard for clinical diagnosis. It is suggested to make a comprehensive analysis of the condition in combination with the patient’s clinical manifestations and other laboratory tests.
