This test kit is prepared by Colloidal Gold Immunochromatographic Assay (GICA) technology.When an adequate volume of test specimen is dispensed into the sample well of the cassette,it migrates across the nitrocellulose membrane together with the colloidal gold marker.If feline parvovirus is present in the specimen, it will bind to the colloidal gold marker and antibody on the test line to show purplish red. If feline parvovirus is not present in the specimen, no purplish red line will be produced on the test area(T).Regardless of the presence of feline parvovirus in the specimen, a purplish red line will form in the quality control area (C).
Feline plague, also known as feline plague fever and feline panleukopenia, is a highly contagious viral disease caused by feline parvovirus. It mainly occurs in kittens under the age of one year. Its clinical symptoms are fever, leukopenia, vomiting and hemorrhagic enteritis. It is the most common and dangerous infectious disease of domestic cats.
This test kit is used for the detection of feline parvovirus in cat feces, so as to assist in the diagnosis of feline plague.
